Looking to enjoy a summer festival this summer? Here are five great festivals to visit in Philly this July!! Known for its significant role in American history, Philadelphia celebrates the month with gusto. These events promise something fun for everyone.
Wawa Welcome America July 4th Fest
Philly does July big. As one of the original capitals of the United States, Independence Day month means many events happening all over town, but none are so big as the Wawa Welcome America July 4th Fest. This 16-day celebration ends on the Fourth with a massive free concert and a stunning fireworks display over the Philadelphia Museum of Art.
Leading up to the main event, the festival spans 16 days packed with a multitude of performances, celebrations, and activities. Notable attractions include free entry to 40 museums and landmarks, a lively block party commemorating Freedom Day outside the African American Museum of Philadelphia, the beloved annual Wawa Hoagie Day at Independence Mall, and a host of other exciting events.
Red, White, and Blueberries BBQ Bash
Where Wawa Welcome to America ends, Red, White, and Blueberries BBQ Bash at Peddler’s Village begins. This all-day, all-American outdoor BBQ begins on July 4th, kicking off a four-day party including blueberry treats, live music, lawn games, pony rides, eating contests, axe-throwing, mural painting, shopping, and exquisite dining! It’s fun for the whole family!
